Protection Revive of Mountain Environment Society (PARAW) |
Nowadays, mountains are safe shelters for body and soul of people who are tired
of suffering noises and pollution and they attract a lot of people towards
themselves.
Increasing of population , undeniable need and compulsion of travelers to
natural and mountainous sites is obvious for all of people .Surely ,presence of
these traveler for lack of suitable substructure , true management and program
would have bad results on environment and those who enjoy of them.
Society of Paraw being aware of this fact and with more than 20 years official
and unofficial experience background as the first women mountain climbers first
started a familial mountain climbing and then with support of west Regional
Electricity co. and UNDP/ GEF/SGP and cooperation of governmental organizations
and local societies has done an active trying to protect these precious gifts of
God and has started developing of tourism with aim of protecting safety of
environment of mountains and securities for travelers and mountain climbers.
Kermanshah province covers an area of 24636 Km2 .It is located in the west of Iran between 33˚/36´/15" in northern latitude of equator
and 45˚/24´ to 48˚/30´ of eastern longitude from Greenwich meridian .The average
height of it is about 1200 m above sea level .
The domain of the plan is in north of kermanshah city ( center of the province)
and in 10 Km from city center in the well known place of Taghe Bostan mount
where there is one of the greatest historical civilization monuments of
Sassanian empire and two prehistoric caves in the southern slope of it .In both
eastern and western sides of above mentioned sites a center for eco tourism has
been established .The domain of plan is a part of Zagros chain which is located
in eastern border of Mediterranean Sea and has dry forest climate.270 acre of
eco tourism network is a part of 54663 acre protected region of Bisotoun.
First of all green path of Tafah Koch Kinah to summit Do Shakh ( Do Kal) and
then from 1385 green paths of Taghvasan and Do Eshkaft started .Fortunately
project activities have been supported by general governor in 1387 and governor
then a contract signed by Heritage cultural organization .results of these
efforts and bring to order the paths caused to creation of a chain of eco
tourism paths.An important achievement of green paths is that can be consider as
a model plan by which we can also find out support and cooperation of
international , governmental ,non governmental and local societies .
